Primed For Destruction is the culmination of multiple years of songwriting done by four teenagers with a dream to rock the world (or at least the greater Pittsburgh area). Klaymore began writing this album back in 2008, and recorded two demo EP's of it over the two years following that. This is the last and most recent recording done by Klaymore's original line up, done over the summer of 2011. The album is meant to have a more raw sound and not overly produced like most music that is heard nowadays, and most of the songs never actually have more instruments or voices going than there are members of the band to actually perform them. Primed For Destruction is twelve cuts of heavy metal with an old school vibe. Its tracks are laden with rage, angst, and twin guitar fury (what more would you expect from a group of metal loving sixteen year olds?) The album marks both the beginning and the end of an era of Klaymore, but a bright future is not completely "Out of Reach" for the band and its current lineup.

Klaymore is a four-piece heavy metal band with a bit of an old-school vibe from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Their influences range from Eric Clapton to Iron Maiden. The band began in 2007, and has since then played shows all over the western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio area.
